Our helping elves have prepared “pounds of organic bulk loose lavender”, and priced it at a Blow-Out special for your last minute gift ideas. You could use it for making sachets, sleep-aids, eye pillows, or add it around your house for that wonderful warm, calming fragrance of organic Lavender. Lavender helps calm stressss & encourages “restful sleep”. It’s one of my favorite things for relaxation!
Another favorite thing that I love to do for relaxation, is baking breads. So, today I’m taking the day off from packing up web-orders, and baking my favorite Christmas “Stollen” Bread. It is filled with my dried Pears, Apples, and Pluots, from this summers harvest, along with walnuts and raisins . I love the old fashion flavor that this holiday yeast bread has from the ‘Anise’ seed, vanilla, and fruits. There isn’t anything better than the incredible aroma rising from the oven while this bread bakes. Well, there is one thing better, and that’s the yummy taste of this warm bread with butter, fresh out of the oven!!:)
I hope you are taking a few moments to relax, light a candle, and listen to your favorite Christmas music, with your family and friends.
Merry Christmas to you and your family from The Lavender Lady. Have a blessed holiday!
Along with packing up online orders, we are also preparing for our annual holiday show, “Last Chance Christmas Bazaar”, this December 11th and 12th, from 10:00 – 4:00pm, at the Hood River County Fairgrounds. Our booth will be stocked with a variety of holiday gift packs, and many of our most popular lavender bath and body products. For future Bride & Grooms that are thinking about a 2011 wedding, now is the time to schedule your “Special Day“. Our Lavender farm is a scenic, romantic setting for small intimate weddings. We have stunning views of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. We also have a beautiful restored ‘Ole Barn, for receptions, private dinner parties, and other events, with gorgeous views of the Hood River Valley, and Mt. Adams in the distance. The peak of our lavender season is June-July, continuing through September. There are black out dates, so we encourage folks to reserve “Your Day” soon. We love to host and celebrate such a big day! Who knew that our passion would lead to a place where others wish to honor each other and exchange their vows? Such fun!
Love is… sharing your “Day” with Lavender 🙂
