This weekend was our local Hood River Fruit Loop Pear Celebration. The farms in our beautiful valley are just beginning to harvest the delicious Bartlett & d’Anjou pears. I baked some lavender pear scones for our customers to sample, along with my favorite lavender-ginger hot apple cider! We also had sampling of our new “lavender cherry pear marmalade”, which has become 1 of our customers’ favorites. The ingredients are lavender, pie cherries, pear, pineapple, orange, and orange rind. It’s a Yummy topping for lavender scones, pancakes, and even ice cream! 🙂
